Community Social Innovation (CSI) Program

Innovating with the Heart

For under-resourced or under-served communities that have many stakeholders with vested interests in the outcomes of solutions, the CSI program teams recruit and deploy volunteers to help.  They organize Cross-Community Collaboration Workshops for communities without the resources or methods to resolve issues that negatively impact the community. The desired benefit is innovative solutions that satisfy the essential interests of the stakeholders while benefiting the greater community.

Restoration Social Innovation (RSI) Program

Innovating in Action

When people suffer from the lack of social services due to economic collapse, civil unrest, or epidemics; then, the RSI teams deploy to restore disrupted or discontinued social services. We do this by connecting agile problem-solving methods with our most experienced volunteers and community leaders. They offer community organizers SIAA’s best social innovations, rapid research capabilities, and intellectual capital to help restore services to people with limited and constrained resources. As a result, the team restores social services quickly then transitions to self-sustaining services that benefit residents over the interests of contractors and non-residents

Social System Innovation (SSI) Program

Innovating with the Mind

Many government organizations and community-based organizations struggle to fulfill the unmet needs of their beneficiaries. They try to optimize complex social systems and institutions so they can serve growing populations with finite resources. For these organizations, the SSI program performs research, analysis, and design solutions to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of critical social systems. To operationalize the innovative concepts, the SIAA makes these solutions available to sponsoring public organizations. As a result, the SIAA and Nonprofit partnerships allow prototyping, piloting, and eventually scaling and institutionalizing the innovations that allow the systems to operate with more efficiency and effectiveness. The type of social systems the SIAA analyzes includes the following
